All day long I imagine Olaf singing "In Summer" because I am very excited for this school year to be over. It has been a long and hard one! But it all paid off when we found out on April 20th that Andrew was officially hired to teach Seminary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints! We got the email with the attached letter telling us yes or no around 2:30 in the afternoon. When Andrew got home he was SO nervous and we sat down and opened it together (actually I did the honors). It was nerve-wracking skimming through the opening paragraph down to the middle of the letter which decided our fate! But there it was, a job offer. We both started crying and laughing and hugging, it was the best! Miles was confused why we were crying and we explained to him that Daddy got a letter and it was a very happy one! Then he was bouncing around and laughing and squealing, just happy to be part of the moment. We did it - we got the job! I should say Andrew did it - he is amazing and he worked so hard this year!! We will head up to Salt Lake for a New Hire Orientation meeting in May, and hopefully we will know where we will be teaching by then. I would've liked to know a week ago but who's complaining, right? We just feel so blessed. That was the coolest part of this whole process: for the briefest moment, we got to see the Lord's plan for us revealed. We don't know what all is coming in our lives, but we know that a lot of prayer and revelation went into selecting who got hired by Seminaries and Institutes. This is what the Lord wants us to do right now. We had prepared ourselves for the fact that it might NOT be what we are supposed to be doing since there was a really good chance we wouldn't get hired if the Lord had other plans for us, but I am so glad that our dreams lined up with the Lord's Will this time!! We have our course, now it's time to move forward. Thanks to everyone who prayed for us; we felt all your prayers.
But not all was rough about the last nine months. We welcomed Daniel into our home and were able to have lots of good times together as a family. Here are some highlights!
Daniel was blessed in Sacrament Meeting by Andrew and it was a really nice blessing. We took a couple of family pictures after. Like Miles, he wore a tuxedo made by my Aunt Donna and was blessed with the blanket knitted by Great Grandpa Bird.

Daniel doesn't look happy to have so much attention! |
We have spent many many mornings and afternoons at the ZOO! The boys and I love it :)
We got to go up to Utah for Rachel's farewell. She left on her mission to Hawaii! It was so nice seeing family!
 |
Andrew just wanted to go up so he could try on the Life Flight helmet - He was jealous of Ben's pictures in it, ha ha! |
 |
We soo enjoyed seeing Grandma and Grandpa Bird while there, and it was fun watching them meet Daniel |
We look for any opportunity to get Miles with animals. We went to Schnepf Farms recently. He really liked the pygmy goats :)
 |
The farm also has peacocks, which are always a treat to see and listen to |
When we're not out having adventures, we are working on introducing Miles to other necessary activities!
Easter was a really fun weekend. We had a couple Easter egg hunts we attended, and of course got to watch General Conference! It was a really wonderful weekend!

My sisters and my mom and I on our way to watch Women's Conference |

Daniel is growing up so fast, though in some ways he is definitely a baby!
 |
Daniel has been a thumb sucker for some time now - I think it's adorable!! |
 |
He loves hanging out on the floor with his bear, Sawyer. He loves tummy time and is getting really strong! |
 |
Daniel loves his daddy very much! And we all love lazy Saturday mornings when we get a little break from chaotic life :) |
 |
We also love going to the park. Even Daniel has fun! |
 |
Baby food time! |
 |
He's already learning how to walk though; wow childhood goes fast, ha ha! |
We feel so blessed to be living so close to my Grandpa Rodney right now. The boys absolutely love him!
Occasionally we get outside as a family, though the afternoons and evenings are usually pretty warm already. On a windy day, we loved going out and flying kites.
And each day ends with a story...
